See the Spanish word, pick the English meaning from four answers. The fastest way to build recognition.
WRDLRNR is a free Spanish vocabulary game that runs in your browser. You race the clock to match Spanish words with English, beat a boss for every topic and drill the words you miss until they stick. It covers 6,895 Spanish words, from your first day (A1) to near-native (C2).
In the game: Start, pick a mode, then the Spanish world.
Every word has its English meaning, part of speech and topic. A few real examples from each level:
Family, time, food and the verbs you use every day.
Feelings, places and the words for everyday stories.
Opinions, work, relationships and the news.
The vocabulary of articles, meetings and real arguments.
Literary, legal and historical words from novels and TV.
Rare words that set a near-native reader apart.
Three modes: Practice (pick your levels, parts of speech and topics), Arcade (a map of levels with stars and boss fights) and Marathon (one endless run for a high score). Each round uses one of these games:
See the Spanish word, pick the English meaning from four answers. The fastest way to build recognition.
See the English, pick the Spanish. Harder, and it is what makes a word yours when you speak.
Five Spanish words, five English ones. Tap the pairs. Every match slides a new pair onto the board.
el or la? Sort Spanish nouns by their article. 3,680 nouns, including 1,377 tricky ones like el día and la mano.

In Practice and Arcade rounds:
In Arcade Mode every level ends in a boss fight: three hearts, a 7 second timer on every word and a Rage twist for the last 10 words. Word Golem guards the Core levels, the Grab-Bag Goblin guards the mixed levels, and every topic has its own boss.

A word you miss returns within three questions and leads your next round. Spaced review, without the flashcard chore.
Every answer is a quick test of your memory. Retrieval practice like this beats rereading lists.
WRDLRNR keeps every word you have played, worst first, and lets you drill just the ones you keep missing.
Yes. WRDLRNR is free to play in any web browser on a phone, tablet or computer. There is nothing to download and no account needed. Signing in with Google is optional and only syncs your progress between devices.
All six CEFR levels: A1 (433 words), A2 (664 words), B1 (1,135 words), B2 (904 words), C1 (2,406 words) and C2 (1,353 words). That is 6,895 words in total. In Practice Mode you pick the levels you want; in Arcade Mode you climb from A1 up.
Yes. The Gender game is all about Spanish noun gender. You sort nouns into el or la against the clock, including 1,377 tricky ones like el día and la mano that do not end the way you would guess. Every noun in the other games also shows its article.
The words are standard Spanish that works everywhere. Natural voices read every word out loud, and you can choose a Latin American or a Spain accent.
No. WRDLRNR is a vocabulary game, not a full course. It trains you to recognize and recall words fast. It works best next to a class, a textbook or a course app that teaches grammar.
Yes. Pick the level and topics from your course in Practice Mode, then drill your trouble words. Missed words come back sooner, and a word you miss three times goes to Purgatory until you get it right five times in a row.
